Furthermore, we carry out work on original tanks as prescribed by the ACI – CSAI regulations “Index of sector regulations (RDS) for motor vehicles”, title 1 – General rules – art. 4.5.1 and 4.5.2 below:
4.5.1 For all cars of Periods A to E, the fuel tanks MUST be: a standard tank, or an approved tank, or an FT3 safety tank.
It is recommended to fill the tanks with safety foam conforming to MIL-MIL-B-83054 Military Specification (shielding material) or “D-STOP” anti-explosion systems.
4.5.2 For all cars from Period F to I the tank is free but must be filled with safety foam conforming to MIL-MIL-B-83054 Military Specification (shielding material) or “DSTOP” anti-explosion systems.
SASSA ROLL-BAR has always used the sponge in compliance with the MIL-B-83054 US Military Specification which is not subject to expiry.
